Quests
=====

I suggest doing every Runescape Quest that comes out the day it comes out. They almost always carry something useful, even if it’s not “High Level”. If you are fairly new to runescape members you can easily be overwhelmed by the sheer number of red names on that Quest List. Just take them one at a time and you’ll get there. Yes I did them all, without guides (except MEP2, which was nasty!) and no I DON’T HELP WITH QUESTS OR WRITE QUEST GUIDES!

In version one I had 2 full posts listing the uses of almost every quest in the game. I did it to make a point; even “Nooby” quests are in fact very useful. A great example is Tower of Life, which got as many rants as any quest I’ve seen. But if you actually use the Minigame it opens up, you’ll find it to be invaluable at collecting Herblore seconds and feathers and it can be fun if you let it!

Don’t let others detour you from enjoying your Runesape Game. If you don’t do things that people deem as “Nooby", then all you’ll do is GWD all day long!

Be warned not to take your best gear into a boss fight for the first time! You may not live to regret it...

These are the monsters that can be particularly useful. They drop the items listed often and typically in a stackable form. They are also easy to fight for a well-rounded player with all of the equipment and travel options open to them. Many also drop alchable (600+ gp) items frequently.

If you’re short the 82 thieving, Chaos Druids can also be found in the Blood rune tower and the Edgeville dungeon. Also, Chaos Druid warriors have essentially the same drops; just replace Mith Bolts with Limps.
There are plenty of big game hunting guides out there as well. As a DIYer, you can strive to kill all of them for their drops or just for fun, but there is no shame in buying first and getting a drop later

_______
Dragons
ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ
From Green to Mith, Dragons are some of the most useful training for both cash and Xp in the game, so there's an entire section of the Bestiary devoted solely to dragonslaying. From mediocre combat skills to maxed out stats there's something for everyone, so please enjoy! And if you don't want to be Bar-B-Que, take some fire insurance with you.

Green dragons
ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ
Green dragons (lvl 79) are the weakest fully grown dragons and easily beaten. With the right techniques these are easily the best for Hide collecting, and really good cash as well. There’s also a bad side however, they’re all in the wilderness.

- In the far east corner of the Wilderness, just east of Clan Wars.
This place is an absolute no-no, unless you’re desperate, or very high leveled. Although there are a lot of green dragons here, this place can be more crowded than your average bank. You’ll waste a lot of time looking for a dragon to kill, which really isn't worth it.

- In the far west corner of the Wilderness, near the Dark Warrior’s Fortress.
There are 3 green dragons here. It’s not the best spot, because it can be quite crowded and even though it’s low level Wilderness, it’s still Wilderness.

- In the Chaos Tunnels. Use the entrance north of the GE.
This is probably the best spot for green dragons. It’s not in the Wilderness and it’s usually quiet. The only annoyance can be the 4 baby black dragons that also lurk there. They can be trapped if they're a problem, or can even be healed on with Guthans. Handy if you're burying the bones there

Blue dragons
ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ
When it comes to bone collecting, blue dragons are probably your best choice. They are level 111, so if you are a low level player, pray while meleeing or range them.

- Below the Heroes Guild.
There is only one dragon here, and usually there is already someone killing it. Not recommended.

- Taverley Dungeon.
This is probably the best known spot to kill blue dragons, and that’s why you should avoid it; it is too crowded. However, there are some advantages. At 70 agility you can use the shortcut, which makes it the closest spot to a bank. It also has a few safespots for rangers and halberds.

- The Ogre Enclave beneath Gu’Tanoth.
This is the best spot to kill blue dragons. Although it has grown in popularity, it is still usually less populated than the other two areas. There are 6 blue dragons in the cave, all with safespots. It’s quite a walk to the nearest bank, but simply Duel ring tele to CW and you can nearly make it all the way back to the cave on run energy alone. If you're using a Bull Ant of T-Bird to carry hides, one spec scroll will put you right back in the fight!

Red dragons
ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ
Red dragons aren’t very good for bone collecting because all spots are in very remote locations. At 152 combat, they pack quite a punch as well. These are best killed solely for the hides with your best BoB alongside.

- Red Dragon Isle
Since this spot is in about level 40 Wilderness, just being there is dangerous for your health! There is a large chance you’ll get a visit from several revenants, and the closest bank is in Bounty Hunter.

- Brimhaven Dungeon
A lot better compared to Red Dragon Isle, however, still not great. Although the Dungeon entrance is close to the Brimhaven POH portal, the walk through the tunnel is quite long and you need to bring a hatchet to chop through the vines (it can be dropped after). There's one good range spot, once the dogs stop attacking that is, along the far west wall where you can attack two dragons from.

Black dragons
ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ
Black dragons are best killed with aid of your Black Mask on a slayer task, backed up by Melee protect, Super Atk/Str pots, and the Str prayer of your choice. Yes, they're that nasty, even for higher leveled fighters. If you choose the Range route, 90+ Range with projectiles that cost more than 100 Gp each are strongly recommended. Don't even attempt Mage unless you just enjoy autocasting runes.

- Taverley Dungeon
Especially with 70 or 80+ Agility, it becomes useful to use the Taverley Dungeon to Melee/Range Black Dragons and Demons. You’ll want to bring an Anti pot for the Poison Spiders. Best routes are Duel ring to CW to bank and a Taverley House tele/Balloon ride back, or just use your butler to bank for you.

- Evil Chicken's Lair
More convenient than Taverley, and less crowded due to quest requirements, this should be your first choice. All four Black dragons can be Meleed or Ranged and you'll often be able to take two to yourself. Glory tele to Draynor may be slightly faster than running to the Zanaris bank and back thanks to the weight of the hides, but you’ll have to recharge the glories and carry your Drayman/Lunar staff with you.

Bronze dragons
************
Best tip for Bronze dragons, run past them! If you can kill these, you can kill Irons and Irons have a far better chance of dropping the Dragon weapons and armor you're after. They can be found in Brimhaven Dungeon or the Chaos Tunnels, but are seriously not worth the time!

Iron/Steel dragons
ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ
Both only found just past the Bronze Dragons in the Brimhaven Dungeon, these are very popular for many reasons. Duradel loves to assign them, they have tremendous drops, including that ever so coveted Visage, and they're excellent low clicking Mage Xp that could actually be profitable! These are best Melee'd only on Slayer tasks combined with Black Mask, Super Sets, Melee and Str prayers, and Anti-fire pots, or Ranged with Diamond bolts (e).

They are much better than Black dragons for Maging though. Common battle spells for Metal Dragons are Slayer Dart, Bolt spells with Chaos Gauntlets, Blast/Wave Spells, Ancient Magiks, or Claws of Guthix with the Void Knight Mace for the auto casting. Claws of Guthix is recommended because it lowers defense, hits very hard when charged, and because Blood runes are common drops. Not to mention they're cheaper than most Ancient Mage spells.

Brutal Green dragons
ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ
Just like the Bronze, if you can handle these you can take the stairs down into the Mith dragons for much better drops! They do drop two Green D hides per kill, but you can kill two normal Greens faster, and these do not drop Visages!

Runescape Gold

Mithril dragons
ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ
Only found in The Ancient Cavern after completing some Barbarian Training tasks, these are the last stop on the dragonslaying trail. These are your best chance at a Visage, but even if you don't get one you'll nearly make up the cost of your supplies with just the Mith bars and D bones. Since it's single combat, a BoB or healing familiar is good to bring, but they won't jump in the pool with you so you'll have to dismiss them each run. Also, Pineapple pizzas are great food for these, as well as the full range of Pots and Prayers. Spare no expense fighting these or they're not worth your time!

I suggest sticking with the two spawns closest to the entrance, the closest if you wish to Melee and the northern one if you're ranging. Again, Diamond bolts (e) are recommended for Rangers, and Karils for either method as they have a nasty Mage and Range attack. Pray Melee if you're Melee'ing and pray Range if you're ranging and just take the Mage attacks on the chin. Do NOT forget a one click tele. You will take damage and if you get too comfortable you can lose a lot of cash dying here!

And do you play other games? Such as Maple Story , Lotro  and so on.
